New PS5 Games Release Dates in 2023

My wallet is terrified for 2023. I already have P3P, P4G, Like A Dragon Ishin, GrimGrimoire and Final Fantasy XVI and then there's other games like Like A Dragon The Man Who Erased His Name, Stellar Blade, Spider-Man 2, Little Devil Inside and Eternights that are still due a release date. I'm in fear that I will have a new game I want to buy every month in 2023. But hey at least it will mean I get good value out the console. I already played 500+ hours this year since getting it so I can't complain I haven't made good use of the console even if I was on Switch a lot more. Next year will remind me exactly why I bought a PS5 to begin with

Hogwarts Legacy will be my 1st game of 2023 if it reviews decently

@Zemo55 500 is on the low side for people who post here. I think when people where showing off how much they played PlayStation this year most were saying like 2,000 something hours. To me that's absurd and makes me wonder how people even manage that with a job. I guess it is possible most people here are kids living with parents still. For a working adult I got about 550 hours between all consoles. Only 100 on Switch and 450 for PS5

March and June are hands down the most incredible months for me.

March we have Wo Long, Star Wars Jedi II, and Resident Evil 4.

Then in June there is FFXVI, Street Fighter 6, and Diablo IV.

Forspoken will keep me busy until PSVR 2 launch. From there on nothing flat will be played until FF16. GranTurismo 7 VR, NoMansSky, Horizon and Village holy moly thats way enough.

@Zemo55 I haven't played my PS5 as much as I would like, most of the games I've been interested in 2022 came out on Switch so I spent roughly 1000 hours on that and 500 on PS5. But this year there is A LOT coming out on PS5 so those numbers should be way higher

@DETfaninATL A Resistance remake would be amazing! I know Insomniac has their hands full with Spider-Man & Wolverine and I would love another Ratchet game, but someone else could do the remake like BluePoint or Bend…

Not as much as I thought for me on the playstation side of things.
Armoured Core VI is the big one. Haven't played any of the previous ones but From Software haven't missed since I discovered than back with Demons Souls and the vibe the trailer gave was chilling!
Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 are defos. Tekken 8 especially. Been itching for a pure fighting game that wasn't Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Soul Calibur 6 was my last one I think.
Stellar Blade looks very cool and I'm rooting for Suicide Squad dispute being incredibly burned out in the whole super hero thing.
There's Judas but I'm doubtful that's anytime soon.
The two final fantasy games are undecided for me at the moment. I guess I'll wait for reviews.
Pretty much all the indies I'll pick up on Switch.

@Zemo55 500 hours is pretty low. surprisingly enough i got 1800 hours this year. Sony might have got the statistics wrong but yes 500 hours is pretty low

@KaijuKaiser i myself got 1800 hours. which is ofc not possible but i do (and other people too) leave their self afk in games. does that count??

I read that R* is not going to release a ps5 version because the GTA 3/vice city remake sold so poorly. When a company is as big as R*, they are unlikely to release a free patch either. The bigger the greedier and anti-consumer, as in many other cases.

Don’t suppose we can have a separate list for the “PS5” games that require a $550 accessory that costs more than the console itself?

If we can’t have a separate list can you at least add PSVR2 somewhere in the game title? A game like “Horizon Call of the Mountain” I think is PSVR2 only but the rest there’s no way I can tell by the name alone. 🤷🏻‍♂️ With the few games that do have VR after them I wasn’t even sure until I saw Moss which I’m pretty sure is.

I agree with this. Most of these games are PSVR not PS5 as you NEED the headset to play them. Maybe three designations
1) PS5 - for games that don't have VR
2) PSVR - for VR only games
3) PSVR/PS5 - that can be used with or without VR.

Space Marine 2 seems to be a glaring omission imo. Definitely one of the games I'm most hyped for in any case.
